Sunshine, more important than most of us think!

Sunshine, essential for humans, animals and plants

Improve your health, mood and energy! Go out in the sun!

It is kind of a supplement, very effective and free of charge.

I love the sun, I am addicted, maybe it is because I grow up in the north.

Some of my south European friends often say that I am too tanned and destroy my skin. They try to stay out of the sun and are using expensive sun blockers loaded with toxins when outside.

I usually answer that I rather feel boasted with energy and health than staying inside most of the time being pale white. I would never ever use conventional sun protection again. They usually contain toxins and chemicals that actually can cause cancer.

My advice is, use natural sunscreen.

Moderate sun exposure is very healthy, if not necessary.

Something great happens in our body when we spend time outside, on sunny days.

Every cell in our body has a receptor for vitamin D, this hormone seems to play a big role from our immune system to maintaining strong bones.

Sunlight has so many benefits being anti-inflammatory, immune strengthening and also good for our gut bacteria because it actually promotes diversity of microbes in our intestines.

Other advantages are improved sleep, -skin, -mood and hormone balance.

Feel good hormones like serotonin and endorphins are being released and blood pressure goes down.

Low levels of vitamin D!

Research has shown that many of us are low in vitamin D.

This deficit could be the cause of a weak immune system, tiredness, pain, teeth problems, diabetes, certain cancers, osteoporosis and autoimmune diseases just to mention some …

How can we increase our vitamin D levels?

Go outside! Our skin produces vitamin D when exposed to sunshine.

Supplementing and eating fat fish, or other fat food, rich of vitamin D, is also an alternative but not enough - we have to get out in the sun as well.

We also know that the less sun you are exposed to, the more sensitive you get.

There is a study (The Miss-Study, 29 000 women were followed for almost 30 years) that shows how woman, exposed to sun regularly, lower their rate of heart-disease, cancer and diabetes with nearly 50%.

Covid-19

Also take in consideration that many covid-19 infected, low in vitamin-D, are having much more severe symptoms than those with higher levels. Could it be the weak immune system due to low vitamin D?

Animals also need sunshine.

Cows for example need to be outside as much as possible and eat hay, (air dried gras), in the winter to get enough natural vitamin D.

Please let our dear cows spend their life outside as much as possible and feed them gras.

Go out in the sun & eat good fats to raise your important vitamin-D levels.
