Probiotic Beet Kvass

RED BEET ROOT KVASS 

Ingredients (should be organic)

3 red beets

1,5 liter water

1/2 lime with peel, sliced

3 cm ginger and 3 cm turmeric, both sliced

1-2 table spoons honey

 

 

1. Poor cold water into a glass jar with a snap lid.

 

2. Add beets, lime, ginger and turmeric

 

3. Stir the honey in a little water until it dissolves and pour into the jar

 

4.  Put the lid on and set at room temperature 3-4 days

 

 

Turn the jar over a few times

 

The kvass is ready when the sweetness is gone, bubbles have formed and the fermentation has started properly.

 

Now strain and pour the kvass into bottles, place in the refrigerator.

 

The kvass is ready to drink and will be okay for up to 10 days
